The Antigua & Barbuda Falcons have had a strong start to their CPL 2024 campaign but have unfortunately lost their first two matches in tight finishes.
Match 1: In our opening game, the Falcons scored 163/4, thanks to Fakhar Zaman’s 43 and Jewel Andrew’s unbeaten fifty. Despite Shamar Springer’s impressive 4-29, the team fell just short, losing to St. Kitts and Nevis Patriots by one wicket on the last ball.
Match 2: In our second match against the Guyana Amazon Warriors, the Falcons were again in the game until the end. Despite a solid bowling effort and good control throughout the innings, the Warriors managed to win with a late surge from Dwaine Pretorius and Romario Shepherd.
Though the results were disappointing, the Falcons have shown their potential. With these close games as valuable lessons, the team is poised to turn things around and aim for success in their upcoming matches.
Stay tuned, as the Falcons take these experiences forward and continue their journey in CPL 2024!
