Falcons send special 50th birthday greetings to Head Coach, Shiv Chanderpaul

The Antigua & Barbuda Falcons sent special birthday greetings to Head Coach Shivnarine Chanderpaul, who celebrates his 50th on Friday. Kris Persaud, the Founder and President of franchise owners WORLDWIDE Sports Management Group, sent the well wishes to the batting legend on behalf of the franchise.

Persaud said: “We want to wish our Head Coach, Shiv Chanderpaul a special 50th birthday. It’s a special day for this special gentleman. We are delighted to have him as the Head Coach of the Antigua & Barbuda Falcons for the upcoming Republic Bank Caribbean Premier League (CPL) season. Shiv’s exploits on the field are well known by every cricket follower all around the world. He is a true legend of our game and a member of the ICC Hall of Fame. He also a fantastic coach, someone who is fully equipped for the job, and we have a lot of faith. He is very well prepared, and we know he will do a great job of leading the Falcons as we take flight in the journey.”

Persaud added: “When we launched the Antigua & Barbuda Falcons in February, we said we would create a winner’s culture. Shiv is the right man to manage the process as we look forward seeing our team on the fields as they entertain our fans in what will be an exciting season of the ‘Biggest Party in Sport’.”

The Antigua and Barbuda Falcons play their opening match on Thursday August 29 against St Kitts and Nevis Patriots at the home base at the Sir Vivian Richards Stadium. The first ball is 8pm.

The Antigua & Barbuda Falcons are the newest franchise in the Republic Bank Caribbean Premier League (CPL). Their home base will be the Sir Vivian Richards Stadium in Antigua. The 2024 Republic Bank CPL will take place from August 29 to October 6 with matches in Antigua for the first time in 10 years.

Fans can get their tickets from the Antigua Recreational Ground on weekdays to 10am to 6pm and also at Rubis Gas Stations around the island. They can also get Tickets online, HERE
